Friedrich (Fred) and his wife Elizabeth (Scheideman) Spady. Fred was born Oct. 1, 1889 in Straub, Saratov, Russia. He left Russia in 1911 for Canada and settled in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He came to Stony Plain, AB. CA. in 1914. He married Elizabeth August 15, 1918. Elizabeth was born August 15, 1894 in Norka, Russia. She came to the Mewassin (Duffield), AB, CA in 1901 with her mother; while her father John George Scheideman came to Canada 2 years earlier to scout for land to build a home for the family.
