Saquaro Cactus - APW4860

Saquaro Cactus - APW4860 - The Flower Shop
The Saquaro Cactus grows only in the Sonora Desert of Arizona. It will grow about an inch per year. It grows anywhere from 15' to 50' tall. This cactus is about 350 years old. It is often the home to woodpeckers which make their nests inside the hard stem of the plant. The cactus has a very shallow root system... only about 2-3 feet in depth. It needs to grow arms to balance itself otherwise it would fall over.
