The Wolf - NNA1214

The Wolf - NNA1214 - Animals
The wolf belongs to the dog family. The wolf usually travels in packs of four or more, never by itself. The leader of the pack goes in for the "kill", while the others are subject to his dominance and bring the prey down. Coyotes also belong to the dog family. On the other hand, they will travel alone as they are less aggressive to kill and share the spoils. They normally go for smaller prey, unlike the wolf. Coyotes, too, will travel in packs when they become very hungry and there is a scarcity of food. (Photo: R. Bauer)
